Follow-up to The Black Iris
It's been just over a year since I put out The Black Iris, so I wanted to update you all on what I have been working on.
Firstly, thanks to everyone who has: played the game, donated some money, left a review or streamed the game, the response has been overwhelming and it feels great to know that folk have enjoyed the game, alongside raising almost £1200 for West Dunbartonshire Foodbank.
Since the release of Black Iris, I've been working on my new game: It Sleeps Below the Haar. This game is building on a lot of the ideas I was trying out with Black Iris with a bigger world and more to explore. If you enjoyed Black Iris, I wholeheartedly believe you will enjoy It Sleeps Below the Haar. I am aiming for the game to be out in Autumn this year and I regularly post updates over on Twitter @arboreta_games if you are interested in keeping up with development.
It Sleeps Below the Haar will be released on itch (of course) as well as Steam. I'm holding off on the itch page until release, but if you want to wishlist on the Steam, the link is: https://store.steampowered.com/app/1864680/It_Sleeps_Below_the_Haar/?beta=1
Once again, thanks to everyone who has supported The Black Iris, and I am so excited to share It Sleeps Below the Haar with you when the time comes.
All the best,
Jamie (Arboreta Games)

Well done Jamie on Black Iris and all that money you’ve raised for the West Dunbartonshire Foodbank. Your work is so unique and atmospheric - what Cosmic Dread must lurk in your imagination! I cannot wait for your next release. All the best, Darren
This is fantastic to hear! Your game was one of my media highlights last year, and as a pixel art / fighting game enthusiast it was far out of my comfort zone, yet I adored every minute of it, even with those early bugs you quickly ironed out. So excited to see your new work! <3
